Atlanta Writers Club Meeting for AWC Members and First-Time Visitors
“Developing Character”: “In order for the drama to deepen, you must show the loneliness of the monster and the cunning of the innocent,” or so says Vivian Gornick in The Situation and the Story. In this craft talk, I’ll discuss how to write believable and nuanced characters – characters who, like each of us, don’t necessarily always act in their own best interest. Topics will include where to begin, research versus imagination, and writing into character.
There will be a book signing following the talk.
